Renee Lenss

Renee is a senior therapist at Centerpiece LLC. Renee received her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in neuropsychology from Butler University in Indiana. While at Butler University, Renee was part of a research lab under the direction of Dr. Joel Martin. During her two years in the lab, she focused on theory of mind and had three peer-reviewed posters presented at the annual meeting of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies in Philadelphia. Renee grew up around autism and currently has an additional job working with adults diagnosed with a developmental disability and/or brain injury.

Renee loves spending time with her little family – husband (Jacob), dog (Oakley), and two kittens (Zazu and a three-legged Rafiki). She enjoys watching football (go Colts!), fishing, going up north to her parents’ cabin, and crafting.

Personal Statement

“Growing up I have always wanted to work with children. One about-to-graduate-college crisis later and I happened to stumble upon Centerpiece LLC. Janice and Tyler took a chance on me after a Skype interview and I couldn’t be more thankful! This career is everything I could ever ask for and more. I’ve always wanted to procrastinate growing up, so I couldn’t be happier to have a job that encourages me to express my inner child. The best part, by far, is having the privilege of watching our kiddos learn and grow everyday right before our eyes!”
