Dana Seymour graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and human development. Dana began working in the field in 2012 working as a line therapist in the Green Bay area. In 2013 she completed an internship working with both children and teenagers with severe emotional and behavioral challenges. Through her internship, she had the opportunity to work in a day treatment school program, which ignited her passion to work with kids in an academic setting.
Dana joined the Centerpiece LLC team in 2013. Her responsibilities at the center include being a senior therapist, camp leader, and teen program coordinator. She enjoys opportunities for 1:1 sessions with her clients, in addition to being on call for school crisis support and building relationships with various school districts in the area. In her free time she likes antiquing, watching football, and softball, indulging in nerd culture, and spending time with her mastiff, Neko.
“The amount of love I have for what I do every day here at Centerpiece LLC far surpasses anything I have experienced before. I am so fortunate for the opportunity to play a role in the lives of such amazing and inspirational children and their families. The best part of my job is being able to be an advocate for the children I work with, not only at the center, but also in school and community settings. Working with such remarkable kids, gaining knowledge and insight from them, not only helps me grow as a professional, but inspires me to be a better person in all aspects of my life. “Truly wonderful, the mind of a child is.” – Yoda”
